RECON Asia Pacific
This year, Yardi was delighted to continue our partnership with RECON Asia-Pacific, held in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia on 22 -24 Oct. It is the premier retail event in the region, and provides a dedicated opportunity to network industry leaders, develop professional skills and discover new business opportunities. Yardi was proud to sponsor the event, and lead a discussion on mproving ROI and tenant retention.
Propteq Asia
A new event for 2018, Propteq Asia is a senior networking summit for leading real estate technology firms. Held in Hong Kong for its inaugural event, Yardi sponsored the Property Technology & Innovation Summit Bernie Devine, Regional Director (Yardi, Asia) provided a session on Big Data, Digital Transformation & the Property Industry. More than 100 guests joined us as we discussed the challenges and opportunities in PropTech, and what companies need to do to get ahead of the curve.
RICS-SCC PropTech Conference
The RICS-SCC PropTech Conference saw more than 250 local and international industry leaders gather to discuss the opportunities and challenges posed by emerging technologies in the property sector. With sessions dedicated to exploring how PropTech is changing the future of real estate around the world, including case studies from early adopters, the discussion was as fast-paced and relentless as the changes in the industry itself. Yardi was proud to partner with RICS and sponsor this important event.
CRECCHKI
Throughout the year, we partner with CRECCHKI to co-host the monthly “Gurus’ Breakfast Chitchat” series. With guest speakers and curated topics for CRECCHKI members and guests, each session provides an opportunity to hear about a different aspect of what’s affecting the real estate industry, from leaders in their field. Additionally, we supported the recent CRECCHKI 16th Anniversary Dinner on 3rd Dec, with the theme ‘Bridging the Future – Greater Bay Area and Beyond’. This year, speakers discussed the future role of the Hong Kong real estate industry and its global presence. Yardi was grateful to be presented with a token of appreciation for our long-term commitment of CRECCHKI initiatives. The event was graced by The Hon Matthew Cheung Kin-chung, Chief Secretary for Administration of the Government of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region and hosted 500+ attendees.
MIPIM Asia Summit
More than 900 participants from 570 companies and 36 countries gathered at the MIPIM Asia Property Leaders Summit to discover Asia Pacific inbound and outbound investment flows, regional development opportunities and projects, and retail real estate trends. Held at Hong Kong, the 2 day conference event on 27-28 Nov saw over 90 speakers at 30 conference sessions. Conference topics revolved around deciphering investment flows, revisit property fundamentals and rethinking retail property perspectives.
On Day 2, the most innovative and iconic property developments transforming skylines across the Asia-Pacific were revealed at the MIPIM Asia Awards 2018. A total of 30 projects were ranked Gold, Silver and Bronze winners, across the ten main awards categories and projects from China, Japan, Singapore and South Korea took home the top prizes at the influential awards ceremony. “The MIPIM Asia Awards are renowned as the premier honour for real estate projects in the APAC region,” said Director Ronan Vaspart.
Bernie Devine, Regional Director (Yardi, Asia) was invited to join a panel of experienced practitioners to share how big data plays a major role in proptech trend and can help companies with their decision making process. Yardi also hosted an agora session which highlighted the impact of new technology in real estate, with a brief overview of the new Elevate and Coworking Suites to be released in 2019.
